Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Palmetto Wheels Exchange, we believe that almost any vehicle can make a difference in our community. Whether it’s a car that's still drivable or one that has seen better days, we accept an extensive range of vehicles to ensure that your generous donation can benefit local residents in need. This includes providing funding for crucial programs like SNAP and Healthy Connections. No matter the condition, your vehicle can help improve lives here in South Carolina and provide essential services to our neighbors.

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Donated cars and sedans are typically sold through auction or used for parts. Auctioning leads to a fair price, while parts help repair other vehicles, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

South Carolinians often rely on sedans for their daily commutes, making these donations incredibly valuable for funding local assistance programs.

Pickup Trucks
2000-present

Pickup trucks are commonly auctioned off or sold to be refurbished. Their durability makes them popular in a variety of sectors, especially among tradespeople.

With agriculture and construction thriving in our state, pickup truck donations are particularly appreciated for supporting local businesses and families.

SUVs & Crossovers
2005-present

Donated SUVs and crossovers often serve as family vehicles or are sold at auction. They are quite versatile, appealing to a broad range of buyers.

These vehicles are perfect for South Carolina families, providing the space and comfort needed to explore our beautiful landscapes.

Motorcycles
1990-present

Motorcycles are typically auctioned. They attract a specific market, and their unique nature can fetch good prices.

With scenic routes and motorcycling events popular in the Upstate and beyond, motorcycle donations resonate well with our local community.

RVs & Campers
1995-present

These donations often go to auction or are refurbished for resale. Their roomy interiors make them desirable for outdoor enthusiasts.

From the Blue Ridge Mountains to our coastal areas, RVs and campers allow South Carolinians to explore the great outdoors for years to come.

Boats
2000-present

Boats can be refurbished, auctioned, or stripped for parts. They hold value in recreational settings and can make a significant impact through funding.

With lakes, rivers, and seaside access, boat donations are especially meaningful in our beautiful state, connecting families with nature.

Commercial Vehicles
2000-present

Commercial vehicles are usually auctioned for business use or repurposed for local companies. Their resale value helps fund local programs.

These vehicles are crucial for supporting businesses in our community, strengthening South Carolina's economy.

Non-running Vehicles
1980-present

Non-running vehicles may be sold for parts or recycled. There's still value in their components, which can support repairs for other vehicles.

In many areas of South Carolina, non-running vehicles can find new life through local mechanics and enthusiasts committed to repairs.

Condition guide

When considering donating your vehicle, we welcome both running and non-running models. A vehicle is deemed running if it can be driven at the time of donation. Non-running vehicles, while not operational, can still contribute through parts recycling or auctions. We understand that some vehicles may hold sentimental value but could require repairs or have been off the road for some time.

Vehicles with salvage titles are also accepted, but we handle these on a case-by-case basis to determine the best outcome for your donation. Factors like the vehicle's condition and history will be taken into account. If unsure whether your vehicle qualifies, please reach out to us for guidance.
